The art of MOTIVATION

Wednesday, April 22nd 2009 @ 6:37 PM (1 ratings)    post viewed 414 times

In order to benefit from a thing, you must understand what that thing is. Motivation is a powerful force when used correctly. Below you will see an acronym for this word. I'm pretty sure you will grow to appreciate it as an art!

M- Mentors. It's hard to excel, when you can't see well. Mentors give insight that guides you to your desired goal.

O- One mind. You must be certain about the direction your life is going. Do not waiver. Most ideas never manifest because of double-mindedness.

T- Training. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. It would benefit you to devour all the information you can about your field. Whether formal or informal, there is truly no substitute for education.

I- Integrity. Nothing is more important than your name. Value it above all business proposals, get rich quick schemes, and ill-earned gain. Success has a funny way of taking you places that your integrity won't keep you.

V- Vision. You should have a clear view on what the total picture looks like. Helen Keller once said "Better to be blind and without sight, than to have sight without vision".

A- Awareness. You must be conciously aware of what's going on in your market. To accurately be in the game, you must stay abrest on the latest updates.

T- Time management. In order to control your destiny, you must be very good at managing your time. The key to being effective day in, and day out is managing the hours in your day with precision.

I- Intensity. There has to be something inside you that sees the importance, as well as the payoff for hard work. If this is ever lost, you may never see the fruition of your dream.

O- Ownership. Own your goals, own your dreams. Own your successes and your failures. Win or lose, it can't be anyone else's fault. Be accountable to yourself. Own your efforts!

N- Network. It's important to align yourself with seasoned people in your field, even if they are your direct competition. Remember, it's not what you know, or who you know, it's who knows you!

May your day and your life be totally empowered!
