Modern Day Trojan Horse, a/k/a Stimulus Plan
Louis Monsour
2.24.09

The Stimulus plan passed without a single supporter reading the 1,200 page bill.  Now that the bill has been passed out to the Governors of each state to review and absorb it some Governors are leaning toward saying, ‘Thanks, but no thanks’.  The greatest document written since the Magna Carta or the US Constitution, according to Obama and the plans’ supporters, is so full of repulsive mandates, requirements, and destructive results that many Governors are backing away from embracing this Trojan Horse of financial assistance.

I am not a pessimistic individual, but I am a realist; and couple that with some common sense and you arrive at the awful truth about to rain upon us.  Let us look at this Trojan Horse and introduce our cast of characters.

All of those in support of this poison pill are akin to the blinded folks who demanded the acceptance of the Trojan Horse – after all it was a peace symbol.  In reality it was nothing more than an trick to gain an easy entry into a fortified castle – your homes, your lives, your freedoms, your hard work, your future, your children’s future, and the essence of what makes the United States the one and only unique and enviable country in the world.  This is a spending bill and not a job generating bill.  For anyone who is honest with himself/herself, and especially if you are living in California you will have a better understanding of this, more spending and generating more liabilities as opposed to generating assets when your are in debt will simply lead to complete devastation of your economy.  You want to know where the American economy will be in a year or so, just look at Mighty California. California, once the fifth largest economy in the world, has one of, if not the most hideous, selfish, and revoltingly inept legislatures in the country.  The US legislature is spearheaded by none other than a California politician, Nancy Pelosi.  What a monster she has generated.  Information from within the Democratic party, specifically from within the US House of Representatives, denounces Pelosi for her strong arm tactics, and rough shot handling of issues and matters of concern to the entire American people.

As a credit to President Obama he expressed his intent to work with members of both parties in assembling the Stimulus Plan.  As a discredit to Pelosi, she had no intention or willingness to work with Republicans.  She is a poison pill to the American people and she is only interested in her status as a Democrat and will dismiss you if you are a Republican.  Unfortunately we have members of both parties rising to this level of ignorance and stupidity so as to make you recoil with disgust.

Pelosi was the spear head for such pork barrel spending in this time of shortage on projects like the train from Las Vegas to Los Angeles, the many health spending which will be implemented in the plan, and which will likely become a fixture for generations to come akin to the welfare program, and the exorbitant spending with regard to Planned Parenthood.  Below you will find a links for all the Pork barrel spending in the Trojan Horse and you will be able to view them by state and by town.

Regardless of the party affiliation of the President I need him to succeed, because his success is our survival and his failure is our misery.  Somebody teach this man that Doom and Gloom speeches are harmful and someone remind him that he is not running for office anymore, he already won the race.

Be careful and do not fall for every trick politicians are throwing at you.  Both parties have idiots who need to stay home, with your help that can be possible.  We need to elect people looking out for us as Americans and not as Democrats or Republicans; and in many looking out for themselves and the money bags who helped them get elected.

They say there are no earmarks or Pork barreling in the spending bill.

Pick your state and town and see who is kidding who??

STIMULUS PACKAGE – GOOD, BAD, or UGLY.
Louis Monsour

2-5-09

Welcome to the Prosperity Society Impact Report where you will hear the facts as they IMPACT you and your business.

The Stimulus Package Plan – Good, Bad or Ugly.
The US House of Representative by a vote of 244-188 recently passed The Obama Stimulus Package Plan to save the American economy from collapsing into the nether, nether land.  This 640+ page plan calls for an amount of expenditures and/or tax cuts to the tune of $850 billion dollars.  The Senate grabbed the plan and began its own spin on our economic lifevest only to skyrocket the bill to a mind boggling $937 Billion.
Here are some of the expenditures and tax cuts proposed and these are changing on a daily basis.
Energy will receive $58 billion to fund “smart electricity grid” to reduce waste, to weatherize modest-income homes, and the government will collect $20+ billion as a result of renewable energy tax cuts and credits extended for research and development.
Science and Technology will receive $53 billion to fund science facilities and to provide high-speed internet access for rural and underserved areas; and aid other environmental energy programs.
Infrastructure will receive $103 billion for transportation projects, construction and repair of federal buildings, water projects, and rail and mass transit projects.
Education will be funded to the tune of $159 billion for grants to local school districts, state fiscal relief to prevent cuts in state aid, and school modernization. Pell Grants will also receive a boost of $500.
Health Care will receive an incredible boost of $153 billion to subsidize health insurance for the unemployed and providing coverage via Medicaid, help to the states for Medicaid, modernization of health information technology systems, and for preventive care.
Aid to the poor and jobless will reach $71 billion to extend and raise jobless benefits through 2009, boost other aid to the poor, including food stamps.
TAX CUTS PROPOSED
The Tax Cuts proposed by the plan include:
An additional tax cut of $500 per worker or $1,000 per couple for the next two years which will cost $145 billion.
Expand the $1,000 per child tax credit and earned-income tax credit to more working poor, which will cost $23 billion.
Provide a $2,500 tax credit for college.  A cost of $10 billion.
New homeowners will receive a tax credit of $7,500, which will no longer need to be repaid, which will cost $7 billion.
Extend to businesses quicker write-offs for depreciation in new plants and equipment. Another cost of $20 billion.
Subsidize local bonds for schools, infrastructure, economic development, and extend energy tax credits. A cost of $48 billion.
You should hear and read the other mindboggling expenditures, such as a fresbie golf course in Austin, Texas, a golf course in California and Florida, and God knows what other bribe.
Rep. Eric Cantor of VA is the GOP Whip and he summarized the plan by saying, “This was not a stimulus bill. It was a spending bill.”  By looking at the numbers and the proposals can anyone point to a stimulation of any kind which is aimed at resolving our current concerns – the downward spiraling of our economy and the growing unemployment rate?
Tom DeLay agreed with Rep. Cantor when he told Newsmax, “The proposal is full of welfare — welfare for local governments, welfare for people, subsidies for health insurance, expanding the federal government’s involvement in our educational system.”
By looking at the plan you will notice the welfare programs and they have this tendency to linger for years, decades, and surely centuries.  Are you aware that the Welfare program we currently have was intended to be for a short term – it is still here and growing.  Social Security was only intended as a short term program and that is so bankrupt that it is a ridiculous institution.
I propose that the Federal Government stay out of business and anything other than the national defense.  Let the economy work through its peaks and valleys.  We are in a valley, don’t let the Federal Government add to our already loaded backs with more welfare and social programs.
We are quickly reverting back to the systems around the world which envy our capitalistic environment and rely on our lead to help them progress.  They are limited as a result of their socialist societies; and we are quickly stepping down off of our platform of fame and example of idealistic business and living environments – and for what? to join and become one with an inferior business and overall limited society.
This plan is nothing more than a payback for all those businesses and individuals who voted the officials into office.  There is no thought, no justification and no stimulation to improve our economy.  Why should they so long as they can blame everything on the previous administration. Politics as usual.
Change for the sake of change is more dangerous than the status quo.  You want to make a change make sure you are heading in the right direction.
We at Prosperity Society want you to Make It and Keep It,
so God be with you, go out and PROSPER!!!!!!!
